Here you can find help with the Exercise Snack app. The app does not require an Exercise Snack account or registration with the developer.

Where possible, please provide:
- your iOS and app versions,
- your iPhone or Apple Watch model,
- the feature concerned, and
- the steps needed to reproduce the problem.
For troubleshooting, describe only the behaviour you observed. Do not give specific health or measurement values, and do not send your Apple Account ID or email address, serial number or other unique device identifiers.
Please do not send health data, camera images, complete CSV exports or screenshots containing sensitive information by unencrypted email. The processing of support messages is described in the privacy policy.
Managing permissions¶
Access to Health, the camera and notifications is optional. If you decline a permission, the app generally remains usable; only the feature that depends on it will be unavailable or limited.
A switch within Exercise Snack controls the app's future use of a feature. It does not automatically revoke a permission already granted at system level. Change system permissions in iOS Settings; you can also manage Health access in the Health app.
Heart rate estimates and Apple Watch¶
- iPhone camera: The app estimates heart rate locally from optical changes at the finger. Movement, finger position, lighting and differences between devices may affect the result. This is not a medical measurement.
- Apple Watch: During a Watch session, heart rate values come from Apple Watch or HealthKit, if you have granted access.
Camera estimates are not written to Apple Health as heart rate samples. The health and safety notice describes the non-medical limits of both methods.
Data export¶
The app creates a CSV export only at your request and passes it to the iOS share sheet. You choose the destination and recipient. Exercise Snack cannot subsequently delete a file that you have shared with another app, a cloud service or a person.
Resetting the app¶
The app reset removes app data and feature settings managed locally by Exercise Snack, as well as pending local reminders, widget data and temporary export files still present in the app area.
The reset
- does not delete data already stored in Apple Health,
- does not revoke iOS system permissions, and
- does not delete export files previously shared externally.
You manage Health data and system permissions separately in Apple Health and iOS Settings.
Purchase and licence¶
Exercise Snack is offered as a one-off purchase in the relevant App Store; the app has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. The Apple Standard EULA applies to the licence. See Product and usage information for more details.
